Monokuro Boo

You speak as if I'm a paper doll. You define my facade with the point of your pen. You clothe me with such chromatic thoughts. You fold me to whatever form you prefer. And then you smile, to see such physique you have beautifully crafted with your words, with your thoughts.

And you see a curl from my lips, seemingly forming a smile. Yet, it is not what you perceive. I am not smiling back at you.

Perhaps, the day will come that I shall, when you perceive is other than my physique. When you have conceived that I am a soul, not just a PRETTY PAPER DOLL.

I Deceive You

If by chance soulmates are true,
Then I have found you.
Careful to fall in love,
This heart has finally found his match.

But dear prince,
You in your white horse have come too soon.
For the glass slipper has yet to fit,
And your true love's kiss I cannot still receive.

So to cure this affliction,
Forgive me for using deception.
For hurtful may it be for both of us,
I choose not to reveal my love.

Know that this soul you have enchanted,
This heart you have captivated.
A charming love story it promises to be.
But I choose to live a lie.

But then, perhaps to win in love,
Sometimes, we must cheat.
To gain her happy ending,
The princess in the tale must use deceit.
